Throughout October and November 2021, two Dartford practices asked patients for their views on a proposal to merge.
Orchard and Maple GP practices are based at Dartford West Health Centre, Tower Road and had a history or co-operation.
Patients were able to give feedback via:
an online survey
a drop-in event at Dartford West Health Centre
by emailing or messaging the practices directly.
After considering the engagement report, NHS Kent and Medway Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG)* gave the go-ahead for the two practices to merge.
Note: NHS Kent and Medway Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) ceased to exist as a statutory organisation in July 2022. The CCG's responsibilities now sit with NHS Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB).
